Margaret was born Margaret L. Doerr in Macomb, IL. on 8 Jun 1915. Her parents were Charles and Amelia Heede Doerr. Margaret's siblings were Mabel, Lillian, Florence, Ella, Robert, Walter and George. Upon the death of her mother in 1918 and her father in 1919 she was adopted by Elzy M. and Laveta Conger. She attended the Western Training School and went on to graduate from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. Margaret died on 27 Jun 2002. She is buried next to her birth parents and her next oldest brother.
