Note: Sophia's inscription is on the west side of the stone. According to the 1900 US Federal Census, Sophia Hauser was born in Germany and at the time was living in the home of her son-in-law, George C. Miller on Franklin Ave. in Naperville. There is a small red stone with the word MOTHER directly south of the monument. George's inscription is on the north side of the stone, and his wife Doretta is on the east side of the stone.
