Joseph M. Rhodes was the son of Orange M. Rhodes and Emmalina Ayers/Rhodes and was born in Scranton Pa in 1875. He came to Boone county from Pennsylvania with his parents when he was about seven. He married Evalina Baker Feb. 14, 1907 and was the father of 6 children. He died in 1939 at the age of 64.
