His full name is Earl Arthur Russell Longfellow b: Mar 1 1896 and d: Aug 22 1986. He served is World War I in the US Army. He was CPL (Corporal) rank when discharged. He was involved in a Mustard Gas attack by the Germans. He was a farmer all but the time that he was in the US Army during WW I.
