Veteran of Black Hawk War, 1832. Wife, Nancy Watson HEROD Anderson buried in adjacent unmarked grave. Andrew ANDERSON was b. 1808, Kentucky and d. 1892, Shelby County, Illinois. Nancy was b. 1812, Union Co., Kentucky and d. 1878, Shelby County, Illinois. Ten children, five surviving to adulthood: Priscilla, Mary Jane, Samuel, Nancy Mardilla, William James. Black Hawk War marker was stollen after this photo was made about 1999.
