The Clinton Herald; Thursday April 22, 1920; Page 10 Mrs. Mary Holleran, a resident of Fulton for many years, passed away at her home in Tenth avenue Wednesday morning at 7:30 o'clock after a lingering illness due to a complication of diseases and at the advanced age of 75 years. She is survived by seven sons, John, Edward, William, Stephen, Gus, George, all of South Dakota and Frank at home. Also one daughter, Lena, with her mother caring for her in her last years. Mrs. Holleran is one of the early residents of this city and her numerous friends to whom she was always a kind and loving friend will miss her greatly. She was a devout Catholic and one of the oldest members of the Altar and Rosary society of the Immaculate Conception church. The funeral will probably be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception church with burial in the Catholic cemetery.

The Clinton Advertiser Thursday April 22, 1920 p. 10 Mourn Death of Mrs. Holleran Fulton, Ill., April 22 Sincere grief over the passing of Mrs. Mary Holleran which occured Wednesday morning at 7:30 o'clock, after a brief illness of complication of diseases and old age, will be felt by all who knew her, and upon those who have felt the benefit of her untiring labor as a true and faithful wife and mother, the blows falls with overwhelming grief. hers was a noble character, a blessed life lived and spent in the service for others, rich in deeds of love and self-sacrifice, leaving a heritage of womanly strength and courage to those who knew and loved her, and felt the force of her silent influence. Mrs. Holleran was about 75 years of age. She leaves to mourn her death seven sons, John, Gus, Stephen, George, Edward, William of Mitchell, South Dakota and Frank at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Monahan, who made her home with her mother. No arrangements for the funeral have been made as yet, but will probably be held Saturday morning from the Immaculate Conception church.
