Born in Mill Creek, Hardy Co., Virginia, USA on 19 Feb 1825. He was the eldest son of 18 children of Nicholas Judy, Jr. (b. 14 Mar. 1789, Pendleton Co., VA., m. 11 Sep 1823, Pendleton Co., VA., d. 1 Jul 1853, Vermilion Co., IL.) and Mary Ann 'Polly' (Skidmore) Judy (b. 10 May 1807, Hardy Co., VA., d. 7 Oct 1897, Vermilion Co., IL.) Jehu was a strong man, over 6 ft. tall, and weighed 185 lbs. He owned over 1000 acres of fine land in Iroquiois Co., Ill. He passed away on 7 Nov 1905 in Scott Co., Iowa, and was buried in Born in Mill Creek, Hardy Co., Virginia, USA on 19 Feb 1825.
