Abraham was born in Baden, Germany and immigrated to the United States arriving in New York on the ship the Mosel on March 14, 1874 . Christina Beck (Becht) immigrated with him on the same ship and shortly after their arrival in the States they married. The couple had 6 children and resided in the Whiteside County, IL area.
