Lived her life at Halfway Place called Silkwood Inn Stagecoach Line near Mulkeytown
Legend says that Priscilla was a slave to a Cherokee chief. When they were on the Trail of Tears a man named Basil Silkwood bought her to set her free. She remained with his family near Mulkeytown all of her life.
While in Mulkeytown I spoke to an older gentleman who still lives there. He said that Priscilla had cared for his grandmother through her final illness. He also mentioned the Hollyhocks that she was known for growing. He has some in his yard that he says were some of Priscilla's.
