Donald was born, in Valley City, IL., to Arnold and Grace A Crady Dennison. He enlisted in the Army, on March 5, 1941, serving in the "Field Artillery" division and was released Oct 15, 1945.
He married, on Oct 19, 1940, Frances A. Hietter (1920-1990), daughter of Leo and Catherine Weese Hietter. They have a daughter, Juanita E. Hietter.
