Born 14 August 1888 in Rochester Township, Cedar County, Iowa. Died 26 February 1978 in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois. Married Daniel Gordon Hayes 20 April 1910. Music was her life -- piano, vocal, solo, ensemble, choir, vocation, avocation -- thus her epitaph: "I sang my song."
