Arvilla Lewis was born Feb 20, 1840 in Harvard IL. She was the daughter of Cyrus Lewis and Margaret Shafman. She married Thomas Baker from England and had 2 children, Evalina and Melvin. Thomas Baker died and few years later she married James Madison Ayers. She died May 21, 1922 of mycardoitis and bronchitis. Her funneral was held at Joseph Rhodes and Evalina Rhodes home and at the United Methodist Church in Blaine.
