Obit: Another Old Resident Gone... We are called upon to cronicle the death of Rob't R. Smith, Esq., which occurred in this city yesterday morning, at the house of his brother's. Mr Smith left Fayette county, Kentucky in March 1835, and has ever since lived in, or near, Jacksonville. He has seen our town grow up from a small malet to its present dimensions and witnessed the many wonderful changes which have taken place in the county.
His sickness was short, extending over a period of but one week, and his disease was lung feber. At the time of his death he was well advanced in life. His funeral will take place to-day at Antioch church, at one o'clock in the afternoon.
