Will was the 3rd of 5 children born to Anton and Augusta (Hoger) Unash. He married Celia Barbara Stochl, daughter of James Frank and Anna (Moel) Stochl on 10 Jan 1912 in Solon. They lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for most of their married life and had four children: George Woodrow, Lester John, Dorothy Celia and John William.
