John Simcox was born 17 December 1829 in Staffordshire County, England and died 1 December 1915 in Alexis, Warren County, Illinois. He married Jeannette McKelvie Simcox 26 April 1859. He is a brother to Luke Simcox. He is also the father to thirteen children.
