Jeannette McKelvie Simcox was born 16 April 1842 in Riccarton, Ayr, Scotland and died 29 January 1918 in Alexis, Warren County, Illinois the daughter of Thomas and Jeannette Muir McKelvie. She married John Simcox on 26 April 1859. Jeannette was the mother to thirteen children.
