Rose is the daughter of David Leet of Rochester, New York and Margaret Matilda Malette who was 1/2 Canadian Indian and 1/2 French by way of Peter Malette and Katherine Bordineaux(Canadian Indian Chieftian's daughter).
Rose Married Fielding Robert Prunty in 1879, in the Grand Central Hotel in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
Rose's great grandson Wayne Prunty remembers Rose talking about her interactions with native American Indians when he was a young boy.
Her son Allen Virgil Prunty was a decorated City of Chicago Fireman, and she is buried along side him.
