Dr. walter marcus born in essen Germany spent one month in dachau due to the nite of the broken glass.His wife he met in med school as ida was of dual citizenship England and germany and she was able to get her family of 4 out of Germany and also get her husband out of the concentration camp via some savings,and have to wait a year of traveling all over Europe before finally getting a visa to immigrate to America by the late thirties.Both walter and ida were doctors in Chicago at the same hospital and also had private offices to work out of both downtown and in the neighborhood.Walter died from complications of diabetes and was married twice and had two children with ida and ida passed as a petre dish in her lab contained encelphilitis and was passed to her. Chicago's mayor sent a telegram to her funeral and many relations attended her funeral.Both ida and walter were cremated at graceland cemetery,but buried in the rosehill mausoleum.Both ida and walter had two kids 5 grandkids,10 great grandkids by 2018.
