He married, on Nov 11, 1890, Margaret "Maggie" Coyle, daughter of Emanuel and Frances Smeetem Coyle, born, Dec 25, 1868 • Omphghent, Madison, Illinois. They had two children, an infant daughter, (1905-1905) and a son,George Earl Best, (1907-1977). George died, Sept 21, 1946 • Princeville, Peoria, Illinois and Maggie died, Apr 4, 1948 • Livingston, Madison, Illinois.
