Born Oct. 5, 1914, in Peoria to Joseph F. and Nellie Clark Coyle.
A World War II Army veteran, he was a 50-year member of American Legion Post 452. He was a lifelong farmer, retiring in 1976, and a member of Peoria County (IL) Farm Bureau.
